Find Your Unique Style

Creatives online seem to be promoting unique styles only they can bring to the table. If you don’t feel “trendy” or like you have an eye for aesthetics you may get lost in the endless scroll of social media feeds featuring many colors, patterns, and graphics, all with different styles.

In many ways, this is how I feel about fashion. How many magazines or Pinterest posts do I have to look at before a style I like somehow magically rubs off on me? If only picking out a style I wanted was as easy as creating a mood board.

Looking to others for inspiration is not a bad thing, but eventually, you will want to identify why you are drawn to a particular style and what about your twist on that style is uniquely you.

How you present yourself to the world is how initial impressions are made. Do you want your style to show off your love for vintage items? Maybe you love to rock the combat boots and hand-painted denim jacket. Maybe you want to give off the “no muss no fuss” vibe. Branding is very similar. What about you and your brand do you want people to notice and connect with?

I think a lot of times deciding on branding can feel permanent and it makes the final decision daunting. Think of your branding as your personal style. Are you still wearing the same clothes you were 10 years ago? I know I’m glad the chevron style faded fast. Brand style may not change as drastically as fashion, but brands can evolve too.

You probably recognize some styles you like. Try slowly incorporating that gold accent or gradient and see how it fits with your brand. You may find something you like and it will keep your brand feeling fresh. If you want a whole new look but don't know where to start, reach out and we can work on your brand together!
